  • Who is eligible to join HabitNu?
    HabitNu is a covered benefit under Medicare and some private insurance plans. Please take the quiz here to determine your eligibility.
  • What can I expect when I sign-up for HabitNu?
    In the DPP program you will be matched with a coach who works with you and the group you are placed with to guide you through this journey. If you are an online participant a digital scale will be ordered for you prior to the start date. After 4 weeks of engagement you will receive a Fitbit if you are part of the Solera Health program.
  • I have enrolled in the program, now what?"
    Once you have confirmed your eligibility and enrolled in the HabitNu program you will be added to a team and matched with a coach. You will also receive an Account Setup email with instructions, including next steps for the program, and a link to set your password to access your account. The email will come from “HabitNu Customer Support” with the email address support@habitnu.com.
  • What am I supposed to do when I start HabitNu?
    Keep a food diary. The HabitNu program includes an easy to use food tracking Diary. Food tracking is a difficult practice to implement in your daily habits, but it is a habit that will help you see success. Our results show that those who track their food habits succeed in reaching their health goals. Meet a physical activity goal. You will work with your coach towards meeting a physical activity goal of 150 minutes a week. You can sync your Fitbit to HabitNu or simply enter the minutes each week. Participate in the discussion forum. HabitNu teams communicate via a closed discussion forum. To access this discussion forum, you will simply click on the Discuss button in the HabitNu menu. Watch educational videos. In the Videos area of the HabitNu App you will find new educational videos addressing a variety of topics. Each week new videos will be released addressing ways for you to make small changes to improve your health! Connect with your coach through weekly webinars. Weekly webinars will be hosted by your Coach. If you have any difficulties accessing the webinars, there will be a conference call line that you can dial into - and this is a great way to participate in the live discussion when your internet isn't working as expected. If you are part of an in-person program you will meet with your coach at your class location once a week for 4 months and then once a month for 8 months.
  • How do I access the HabitNu app?
    You access the HabitNu Program by downloading the app to your phone (search for "HabitNu" in your phone's app store) OR you can access HabitNu by bookmarking and visiting the site: app.habitnu.com.
  • I do not have a smartphone or tablet; can I still participate in the program?
    Yes, you can still participate! We have a web-based version of the app that you can access on a computer at app.habitnu.com – here you will have all of the same functionalities as the app.
  • How do I send a direct message to my coach?
    You can send a direct message to your coach through both the HabitNu app and web-based version of the app. App: Open your HabitNu app and navigate to the “Discuss” tab. In the Discuss tab, at the bottom right, you will see a plus sign and a message bubble. Clicking on the message bubble will start a one-on-one conversation with your coach Web Version: Log into your HabitNu account at app.habitnu.com. Once logged in, at the top right of the screen you will see a message bubble symbol. Clicking on the message bubble will start a one-on-one conversation with your coach
  • How do I access today’s meeting?
    Log into your HabitNu account and go to the “Discuss” tab. In the Discuss tab you will see 3 options – Discuss, My posts, Meeting, and Replay. Click on “Meeting” – this will open a calendar for the current month. Today’s meeting will show on the calendar in yellow. You will click on the scheduled meeting and then click “Join With HabitNu Meet”.
  • When will my digital scale arrive?
    Each participant receives an email with tracking information when their scale has shipped. The subject of this email is “HabitNu - Shipment notice for order #”. If you are unable to find your tracking information or have additional questions regarding your scale, please email support@habitnu.com. Please include the order number.
  • I want to remain in the program, but do not want to receive the email reminders, can these be turned off?"
    We can turn off email reminders for you. However, doing this will turn off all reminders, including reminders for meetings with your team/coach.
  • How do I update my email address?
    To update your email address, please send the new email address to support@habitnu.com, and the HabitNu team will update this for you.
  • How do I set my goal weight?
    Log into your HabitNu account and go to your profile. You can get to your profile by clicking the circle in the top right corner that has you initial in it. Once in your profile, you will click on the pencil icon next to your name to edit your profile. Then, scroll down to "How much weight to lose" and enter in how much weight you wish to lose. Please also make sure that the “Current Weight” listed in your profile is correct. Once this is updated you will scroll to the bottom of the screen and hit "Save". This will update your goal weight within the “Health” section of the app.
  • I am having trouble setting up my scale.

  • My account was deactivated; how do I rejoin?
    Please email the HabitNu team at support@habitnu.com – they will look into why your account was deactivated and can re-activate your account when needed.
  • When will I be eligible to receive the Fitbit (Only applies to Solera participants)
    In order to become eligible for the Fitbit you will need to complete all activities below for 2 weeks in a row. Watch the videos when they are released in your app Step on the scale 3 days every week Log one meal per week Log your physical activity every week Interact with your group every week in the online discussion forum
